What you need to purchase BEFORE you pick up your puppy

© FOOD:  We feed and recommend Loyall Life Large Breed Puppy food. This is recommended for all ages of dogs and has a high protein/fat content. We use this food for all our dogs. ____ Crate – Your dog will most likely need a large airline crate.

GROOMING:
____ Shampoo – Don’t use human products- Dogs have different PH and human shampoos are irritating

____ Dog brush - The rakes or dematting combs are good for grooming.

____ Good puppy books - Consider some of these older books that I have used and like: Water Dog or Family Dog, by Richard Wolters; The Tri-Tronics Book of Retriever Training (If you plan on hunting your dog). You can get these used on ebay and are inexpensive.

There are also many books on amazon that seem to get good reviews.

Training your dog takes about 15 minutes EVERY DAY. It is more important to spend that time often, than it is to spend a lot of time once a week. Call me, if you have questions.
